Introducing Virginie: A Multifaceted Journey of Dance, Science, and Teaching

Meet Virginie, a French native living in Switzerland, whose lifelong passion for dance, mathematics, and physics has shaped her unique journey. Driven by a constant desire for new challenges, she seamlessly combines her diverse interests into a harmonious blend of exploration and growth.

As a dancer and ballet teacher, Virginie's ballet training began in Pau, France, before she further honed her skills at the conservatoire in Nice. Holding the French ballet teacher technical certificate, she possesses extensive experience teaching ballet to both vocational students and children aged 4 to 18. For two years, she served as a ballet Mistress for the Irish National Youth Ballet, overseeing classes and rehearsals for the Junior company.

Virginie's passion for ballet teaching methodologies is unparalleled. She finds immense joy in observing ballet classes, often more than attending performances. As a child, her fascination led her to spend entire days in studios, absorbing knowledge by simply watching. Notably, she collaborated with renowned ballet pedagogue Jeanne Albertini to study the French pointe work style. Their work was presented in ballet conference classes as part of the series "Italian and French ballet masters as the origin of modern school" in Paris, 2011. This project not only deepened her understanding of the French ballet style but also provided valuable insights into the Checcetti teaching methodology.

But Virginie's expertise doesn't stop at dance. Her scientific background and strategic acumen have propelled her into the world of engineering and business. After pursuing studies in engineering in France and Canada, she began her career as an engineer for the French Space Agency. For five incredible years, she played a pivotal role in the launch of rockets and satellites. Seeking new horizons, she embarked on a journey to Ireland, where she delved into the realm of business and earned her MBA in 2005.

Today, Virginie continues to nurture her passion for dance by training as a dancer and sharing her wealth of knowledge with the next generation. Through her ballet teaching, she inspires young children to embrace the art form and embark on their own transformative journeys.
